Bagpacking to Seoul 1Y

When I told the people around me that I have went on a 12-day bagpacking trip to Seoul with 3 other girls (all under 21 years old), everyone seems to be really amazed and impressed with my accomplishment. I guess I didn't expect myself to return back home completely safe and sound as well. :) But I sort of proved that this is not impossible, as long as the right precaution is taken. So here I'm to share some bagpacking tips which can hopefully help those of you who are planning to DIY your own trip to Seoul. :)

29th June - Departure from Changi Airport Terminal 3
Boarding SIA, the 2-way ticket which cost $794.80 only. Got it during their promotion period. :)

6 hours of long flight. Spotted a rainbow and some snow flakes! Took some really nice photos.

Arrival at Incheon Airport.

Vivian trying to explain Namsan guesthouse's location to the driver.

Korean drivers have really cool GPS device in their cars!

Arrival at Namsan Guesthouse

Our taxi driver

The facilities at this guesthouse is pretty comprehensive. The room and the toilet is rather clean, and they provide clean towels everyday, with aircon and heater. Free wireless service at the common area and there are free cup noodles which serve as perfect suppers at night. The guesthouse owners can communicate in English, and they are very helpful in providing information about travelling in Seoul. :) In all, the guesthouse is a pretty cosy and safe place to stay in. More details can be found at http://www.namsanguesthouse.com/.

After settling in the guesthouse, we made our way to have dinner at the Myuengdong, which is within walking distance.

We decided to have our dinner in a noodles store. The noodles were damn damn spicy, though it's super nice! So hot that Vivian couldnt take the spice (see her tears below). HAHA.

This marked our end of Day 1, since we only managed to reach the guesthouse at around 4pm. Didn't really sleep well for the first night as I was pretty worried for the activities we had planned for the subsequent days. Plus, the floor was hard and we had to sleep on the "korean style thick blankets".

Day 2 adventure to be updated soon!
